At home in the Aeolian Islands

Some time ago I was telling you about my holiday alone in the Aeolian Islands (see post). It’s an amazing place, not only because of volcanoes, caves, stone seashore, yellow earth, archeological remains, but also the villages and houses there have something special. I could say that each one of them is different. And the inhabitants seem to be proud of it, they make a small drawing representing the house as a miniature on the plate with the number or the name of the house.

Before showing you the photo gallery, I would like to draw your attention on this silly little message written on a door in Panarea (one of the Aeolian Islands)

“I traveled the whole world and I didn’t find my home. I came to Panarea and I found the world entire and my home. Tano”

What would you draw on the number plate of your house/apartment?
